Charles “Tom” Sayre, 69, of Georgetown, formerly of Midway, husband of Beulah Fightmaster Sayre, passed away July 17, 2010 at his home. He was born October 31, 1940 in Scott County, KY to the late Gilbert and Smiley Frances Sewell Sayre.

He worked as a farmer all his life. Along with his wife he is survived his sons, Ricky Fightmaster of Lawrenceburg and Charles Tommy (Kim) Sayre, Jr. of Lexington; grandchildren, J.T. Fightmaster, Tommy Vice, Jr., Elizabeth Vice, and Samantha Vice; brother Gilbert (Evelyn) Sayre, Jr. of Frankfort; sisters, Betty Currans of Lexington, Edna Tomblin of Louisville, and Mary K. Sayre of Versailles; special niece, Vicki Crawford; special nephew Christopher Creech, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Walls officiating. Burial will be at Beards-Davis Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jacky Creech, Christopher Creech, Jamethan Banks, Hershel Price, Tony Townsend, Roger Williams, Terry Martin, and Russell Burton. Honorary bearers are J.T. Fightmaster, Tommy Vice, J.D. Conway, Justin Smith, Stephon Schmit, and Rex Sizemore. Visitation will be 5-9pm Monday, July 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
